ADSR, Challenge #3

Here's what I did for challenge #3, Fairy Tale theme...

Amazing Digiscrapping Race!

Well, the race is on. My friend Terri and I signed up for the race. I heard that it was fun- basically you "travel" around the digiscrap world to different communities and participate in two new challenges each week and get prizes from each one. We've finished the first week of challenges and got two awesome kits from it so far.

Here are week one's LO's:

The first one was a museum challenge- anything museum related w/ the word Amazing somewhere on your layout. I chose to do this unusual "museum" in Colorado that we stopped at when we drove out here to live after our wedding.

This one was a collaboration challenge. We had to use the things on the "pickles" at Pickleberry Pop: red, flowers, 2 photos, doodle, friendship. Terri and I are good friends online, we got into digiscrapping together. We thought it might be fun to scrap about ourselves for a change! We each designed half of the page about the other person after deciding on a kit and a basic idea:

CRD Challenges, Days 3-7

Well, I finished the rest of the CRD Challenges- WHEW! Never knew I could get that much scrapping done in a week! This one I wanted to play with blending and decided to do a layout just about Dave for a change. The challenge was GRUNGY.

Then I was feeling a little homesick. The challenge was to use this template (I don't do templates! Still don't like templates...) Not loving it as much as some of my others, but it's okay. I scrapped about home:

The challenge on this one was ONE. You couldn't use more than one of anything. It was challenging because I like to repeat stuff and use lots of fonts, etc. But I love how it turned out.
This one was this crazy long list of stuff that we had to use on our layout- including two alphas, 6 flowers (and only six) in different colors, lime green writing, solid blue background, and a vertical title that was the title of a John Travolta movie!?! It was hard, and to use CRD products, I had to do a lot of recoloring! But it came out so messy and fun, I love it. I even got an awesome comment from Christina Renee herself- she wants me for a guest CT next month!

More playing with blending- I'm loving what I can blend! I also finally got to use this cool frame from Sausan Designs and the cardboard box background from Nancy Comelab. This was a PIZZA challenge- different elements corresponded to different ingredients so you were supposed to create your favorite pizza with the corresponding supplies. Cute idea, and it was fun to do.

All of these credits can be found in my DST gallery here, all in a row...

CRD Challenge, Day 2!

I did another one. This one took much longer, it was harder to do- you had to scrap in a shape other than a square or rectangle, and it wasn't a scraplift, so I fussed and fussed with it all forever. I like how it turned out though!

I did a challenge!

They are doing some challenges for the Grand Opening of Christina Renee's store, and I thought it might be fun to do. There's one every day this week... I thought I'd get geared up for the ADSR next week ;)

So here's my first one. The challenge was to scraplift one of CRD's Creative Team layouts from her gallery. I didn't have much to use yet. I only had a few things from there, I was waiting for the BIG sale :) I bought the big collab kit (w/ Shabby Princess- love her!) and a few other things yesterday, but I'm still attempting to download them- that site is so bogged down! I'm trying to get them done for the second challenge!

I chose this layout to scraplift, by Kathryn Wilson, and came up with this one- I love LOVE this picture of Dave and the boys from last week:

4th (8th) of July!

We got together over at Dave's parents on Sunday night. My knee is messed up, so we couldn't go to the festival that we had planned on for the 4th, but Sunday was fun!

Credits can be found here.

I used my first font by Darcy on the journaling. She asked me to be a guest on her CT this month-- her fonts are great! I used DJB Jenna from this font pack, I love it, especially the little "and" for the ampersand- so cute!

Keaka's birth announcement

I just finished this one for my sister's new baby, I thought it turned out so cute. I just love this background paper by Karah Fredericks, I've used it several times. The whole kit (Little Mister) is so cute.

He ain't heavy, he's my brother

We took the little wagon out and Ben gave Chris a ride down the street and back. He was so proud of himself and he just seemed like such a big kid. But, in the photos- he is still such a little guy! He just acts big. Chris loooved it. He was laughing and holding on and just loving it.

And I finally got to use that *Gralpha* that I was seeing everywhere! I love it.
